Description: Started life as an 80GB/7200rpm drive, but I now put any drive in it for backups, testing, anti-virus cleaning, and even the occasional cdrw drive.
My TDK dvdrw went in once, but it died there, and I got a new one luckily, which I'm not sure I want to risk trying again...
Detected first time in Debian 3, RH8 & Knoppix.
Keywords: USB2.0 external Hard Drive

Kernel (uname -r): 2.4.20-18.8
Distribution: Debian 3, RH8 & KNOPPIX

Detected as a mass storage device first time.
Had to adjust the USB drivers for USB2.0.
Didn't always give me read access if I had an NTFS formatted drive inserted.
Needed to jumper the hard drive as Cable Select to get the fastest detection and transfer speeds.
