Description:

This card reader was free at Best Buy because of a $5 instant rebate and a $10 mail in rebate (US dollars). So up front, it was around $10.
This card reader works if usb support, scsi emulation, scsi disk support, and usb mass storage is enabled in your kernel. I have used it succesfully with kernel 2.4.x and 2.6.1. It will be listed as a block device (sda1, sdb1, etc).
The reader has an LED on it to signal operation (duh, it's a disk drive right?). This is cheap, reliable, and consistent--no searching for special drivers!
