Description:

Solid 10/100BaseT card. I use the 3c59x.o kernel module as opposed to the 3com produced 3c905.o module. I always get 100-BaseT speeds. It can handle full duplex, although I've never used it for long under that.

I have four of these network cards--three of them in Linux computers. They are more expensive than most similarly featured cards, but the main difference is they ALWAYS work perfectly. I have never had a problem with one of these cards. I've been using them since Slackware 4.0 (not sure which kernel version)

If you're out grepping the bins at the surplus store and happen upon any of the 3c905 series of cards grab a handful as they are great performers. Shouldnt pay more than $5 each. :)
Only issue I've ever had with them is if they've bees setup for a specific Media Type or speed, but the mii-tools package will let you make the changes.

Very easy to use. Driver from kernel works perfectly.

I've got three of these cards, all work great! No driver was required, as it was auto-detected and performs well.

Have around 20 of these NICs, never a problem with any Linux (from Red Hat 6.2 to current Debian and Red Hat)
