Description: This is one of the Promise cards that Maxtor shipped with 200Gb hard drives for a while. Its the PDC20267 chipset, buggy as the kernel driver was written sorta blackbox, but getting better with each kernel release. I get full ata100 speeds, hdparm around 40Mb/sec, and this one has two drives in a software raid 5 set-up attached to it. No problems. I've never used the hardware raid feature.
Keywords: ata100 free with harddrive
/sbin/lspci output: 00:0d.0 Unknown mass storage controller: Promise Technology, Inc. 20267 (rev 02)
