I got this scanner a few years ago but I really like the smaller flatbed types. This one is one of the smallest, slimmest ever and doesn't even require a power cable.

This scanner I did have working in Windows 2000 with no problems but now it doesn't work, magically without changing a thing on my system. So I finally got around to configuring it in Linux and it scans even better with better quality pictures using sane than it did in Windows with the software that came with it.

This is an excellent scanner to get working in Linux and is fairly easy.

It's flat and it's perfect scanner!

In Slackware 10.1 with sane-1.0.15 it just works.

All you need is hotplug on, if not:

# chmod a+x /etc/rc.d/rc.hotplug
and write permissions on the scanner for use with Xsane:

The images are beautiful!
