Description: THis is a PCMCIA Type II wireless card... It supports 802.11b 11MBps and if you're using dlink products up to 22MBps. I tried it on slackware and it was a complete waste of my time. I believe my card was bad though. When it worked it was a good card, but that was rare.

(Finegan note: this is the obnoxious Texas instruments ACX100 card, the drivers from http://acx100.sourceforge.net are reported to work, but your mileage may vary, mine sure has.)
Keywords: Dlink dwl 650 + dwl650+

The card works good, but it is a pain to set up. You can get the driver from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/acx100/

and there is a very good HOWTO at: http://www.houseofcraig.net/acx100_howto.php

You should know that this driver is still in the alpha stage, and it is getting better with every driver release.

The only reason I purchased this card was Office Depot had them on sale with a large rebate.

I found the acx100.sf.net stuff works very well on this card - remember to use *their* start_net script. Makes things much easier

I tryed the acx100 but it didn't work.
The ppl working on the acx100 were very nice and were constantly trying to help me but still it wasn't working so eventually i gave up!
I was fooled when i read the DWL 650+.
I though to myself the DWL 650 is compatible so the the plus is mainly a software upgrade(flashing the roms)
ohhhhh what a wast of time!!
Ppl shouldn't buy this card under no curcimstances!!!
Even if the ppl at acx100 are doing a great job!!

acx100 driver works great as said before.
