Description: The Audigy LS use a different chipset than the other Audigy cards. Which chipset, I do not know. And I can't seem to find any info about it on the creative site. As of now, the card does not work satisfactory in linux. The emu10k1 drivers does not work on this card, and the only available driver (http://www.opensound.com), is only in betastages, and delivers poor sound.

the audigy ls is now fully supported bij alsa 1.0.6a and also oss i think

normally, you should only download the latest drivers, install them, and follow the instructions from the alsaproject.org site (when you click info next to audigyls in card list)

thsi should work, only, i have a weird problem that i don't seem te have the right module to use (snd-audigyls) and alsa also doesn't start on startup,

but normally it should work though
