Description:
|
Here are the info of my system1 about my hardware sound collected using the alsa-info.sh script that i taken here:
http://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-...s/alsa-info.sh
The sound work fine even using other distro and/or more older distro. If i remember correctly, the first time i used it with Ubuntu 8.04.
With simple distro, as Ubuntu, OpenSuse, etc. the sound works out of the box, while using Archlinux et similar is necessary see the wiki for the correct load and configuration of the right module, but this is normal.
Also generally i use 32 bit distro, while the few times i tried 64 bit distro (for example debian squeeze 64 bit) i had some problems but thanks at the help of the community everything was resolved.
Note:
This test happen on the onboard Audio of the
motherboard Asus M2A-VM HDMI:
http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_...specifications
I haven't tested all the feautures present on my motherboard, so even if the audio work, i don't known for sure if all the rest work.
For example BSD system absolutely don't work!
While you can use it using VMware inside Linux.
So this test review is for sound only.
Also remember this is my first test review, i tried to give the most useful information as possible using the ALSA script, i hope this is sufficient.
