It JUST WORKS. This is a USB connected WiFi (wireless) adapter. It is a draft-N version. It is dual band at 2.4 GHz as well as 5GHz. My specific device is: H/W ver. A2 and F/W ver. 1.80. My Linux, Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot (ver. 11.10) found this device upon it's being plugged into a USB port. I did not have to EVEN re-boot. This is what I have sent to D-Link's Customer Service:
After bringing it home, and plugging it in, it "just works" in LINUX. With my Windows 7, I had to install the drivers first and even then the install failed, although not severely. My point in this is that D-Link could be better served if ALL its' products were more Linux "friendly". PS - This is my 2nd D-Link wireless product. I run Linux 90% of the time, Microsoft Windows 10%.
