This is a great little compact digital camera. I can highly recommend it. Takes great photos, even close ups of insects, flowers, computer parts, etc. For the price it's very good value. It takes excellent videos, including sound (though not in a wide-screen format).
lspci output shows no information related to the camera, but as it connects via USB that's no surprise. lsusb output related to the camera shows:

Photo transfer via USB is a piece of cake ... F-Spot Photo Manager (installed by default in Ubuntu 10.04) offered to import the photos or you can just mount it as a removable USB storage device and copy the photos that way. F-Spot ignored the video files so I had to copy them manually that way.
