This is best MP3 player I have owned!!! Not because of features but because of reliability. I bought this player in 2006 and since then it has been dropped many times from 4+ feet and even left outside overnight in the rain and yet it continues to still work like the day I purchased it.
As for Linux compatibility this device has never given my any trouble. It has always worked perfect in Ubuntu, I've used it in Ubuntu since 9.04. It recognizes as a MP3 player and all you have to do is copy in your music.
Because of the great reliability of the actual player as well as perfect Linux compatibility, the RCA Lyra RD1076 definitely deserves 10 out of 10!
