Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.34
Distribution: Slackware 13.1



Uses ath9k_htc driver and ar9271 firmware, not (yet?) in kernel. Works perfectly with compat-wireless-2010-06-27.

Monitor mode is supported, however there are still some issues to be resolved (like channel reporting and reinjecting) that makes this chipset almost useless (for now) for wireless auditing.

The detachable bundled antenna (a common 4dbi omnidirectional with sma connector) gives good range.

IMPORTANT: note that this is the version 2; version 1 has a Zydas chipset but AFAIK they look identical. Check the label in the back of the stick to confirm revision
