Battery life on this machine is very good. I have used it for more than six hours and still had 40% battery left.

Everything worked out of the box except the wired adapter. USB ports ( three ) worked, built in web cam worked.

The touch pad seems a little touchy. I manage to bump it at the wrong time when typing and cause the cursor to jump to the wrong place. Since my main use for this machine is as a traveling system, this is not a big issue.

Wireless - all I did was set up my wpa2 key, and away it went.

The keyboard - I find the markings on the function keys hard to read, the printing is small, and in gray. Rather hard to see unless the room light is bright. Over all it works well though.

The screen is small, but very easy to view. It is bright and crisp.

I looked at a lot of netbooks. Most were more expensive, at least they were in Canada. This one is the best combination of value and speed for the money. The N450 feels faster than I expected from a single core system. Boot time is less than a minute.

The weight is about 2.8 lbs. Nice for traveling.

Only hardware thing I'm not so fond of is the clips that hold the battery in do not seem to snap in as well as I would like. I will have to see if this leads to any problems.

Overall I would recommend this netbook.
