Kernel (uname -r):

This machine responds really well to Linux, its probably due to lenovos roots with IBM. I do not use the web cam on the system but it does work under Linux. The wireless driver that I use is the wl one and it works perfectly. The only thing that I would complain about on this system is the strange resolution but its only a minor complaint. I was able to get mine for a discount at the local radioshack for $170 US. They were wanting to get rid of it and it was a display model tho. I think they retail anywhere from 200 to 300 US.

Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.38-8 generic
Distribution: ubuntu 11.04

i have lenovo ideapad s10 which is quite similar to the s10e. Though ubuntu 11.04 runs a bit (not much, still usable) slow over it. i am going to try crunchbang over it and then i will rewrite my experience over here.
