Description: The C500 is a webcam. At first, being plugged into a USB 2.0 4-port hub prevented the webcam from being detected in Ubuntu Karmic v. 9.10. Plugging the C500 directly into one of the motherboards USB ports allowed Ubuntu to find the camera. I could not get Camorama to work, but Cheese is flawless. Fry's Electronics had this at $55- in February 2010, but the after rebate prices is $25.00. At that price, it's well worth it. As with most inexpensive webcams, adequate room lighting is necessary.
