Would you recommend the product? yes | Price you paid? (in USD): $649.00 | Rating: 9

Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.28.14-generic
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.04

Notebook came with Vista Home Premium, I formatted/installed Ubuntu Jaunty. Everything I tested worked beautifully except the sound, but there was sufficient information on the ubuntu forums to fix that relatively easily.

I have not tested the webcam, media card readers, or lightscribe.

Hi!

Some days ago I installed Ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop (HP Pavilion dv4-1435dx). I have problem with WIFI. In this model there are touch sensative buttons to enable and disable the WIFI and the volume. The volume touch sensitive buttons are working (except the colour doesn't change to amber when i mute it, but its muting the volume). But the WIFI buttons is not responding at all, it remains amber and thus WIFI is not getting enable.

Thank you.
