Description: USB Bluetooth 2.0 adapter with EDR (enhanced data rate) -- Ultra mini.

From googling the web I gather that kernel support for these adapters was native with 2.6.22 and up. It was plug and play for me in Fedora Core 10 (2.6.27.5-117fc10). Being a class 2 bluetooth adapter, detection range is up to 10 (11?) meters away from the usb port.

Very small: Plugged in, sticks out maybe a quarter of an inch.

I understand from google results that Targus has another bluetooth usb 2.0 adapter, with the same model number (ACB10US) but it has a different casing -- looks more like a regular usb thumb drive. I have not tried this jump-drive model, but I suspect it is simply a different housing for the same hardware. The internet will tell you.

Bluetooth 1.1 and 1.2 backwards compatible. If I remember correctly, this is a licensed product using a Broadcomm chip (Broadcom 2045 EDR, BCM90245 ?).
