Camera automounted (under KDE 3.5.10) as a USB storage device. Seems like a nice camera, but I was initially more interested in whether it would connect to Linux than I was in the picture quality! The few photos I've taken around the apartment seem to indicate it's a quality product - and from the recent posts I've seen, it's DIRT cheap (well < $100) ATM.
Only problem thus far: FEATURE-LADEN (to the MAX: the OSD can contain up to 23 info fields - on a 2.7-inch LCD...), and the (86-page) manual is in PDF format on the "Windows" CD. This is my first digital camera - I really need a printed manual for a bit! In Samsung's defense, the camera does seem to be rather intuitive for basic functions.
Highly recommended to this point. I plan on using it heavily in the next week. If my opinion changes I'll update this post.
edit: OK, of COURSE lspci showed no info on a USB device. The nerve! :)
