Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.24-22-generic
Distribution: Ubuntu Hardy Heron

Originally supplied with XP Pro and a hidden partition containing factory restore settings. Made an image of the drive (just in case) then completely erased it. reinstalled XP in a 40 GB partition and Ubuntu Hardy in the remaining 120GB.
Out of the box almost everything worked straight away including the "special" keys for brightness, volume, web browser and email.
A minor irritation is that the wireless led does not work.
I have not been able to persuade the built in O2 Micro smart card reader to work either, but the SD card reader works perfectly.
I am still trying to configure the bluetooth VOIP handset that comes with the laptop, it is detected but will not connect.
