This keyboard is basically a very nice laptop keyboard that can be used with a desktop. I like keyboards with some tactile feel, not the mushy membrane keyboards that comprise almost all of the desktop keyboards today. I used to use an old IBM Model M, but my hands got tired pretty quickly typing on it due to the very high keypress effort. The Aurora has good tactile feedback and is much easier for me to type on. It isn't quite as sturdy or heavy as a Model M, but it comes much closer than most other keyboards. The keyboard works perfectly with Debian once you set the keymap to "PC-104 with Euro sign on 5," which is a couple of clicks in the GNOME keyboard setup. The USB ports work well, too. However, the USB audio chip doesn't work with Debian Lenny but that's not that big of a deal since I use the headphone jack on my computer's front panel. Overall, I highly recommend this unit as it is reasonably priced and very high quality.
