Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.18
Distribution: Debian etch

Need gspcav1-20071224.tar

Debian package looks available, but I did not use. I got the tarball from http://mxhaard.free.fr/index.html

http://forums.quickcamteam.net/archive/index.php/thread-22.html

Unlike (or like) the link above, with Skype, image is very dark (but not always) I need to figure out what is going on.

Price is about 2300 (JYE).

-----edit-----

It looks like that this camera also has microphone. I have not figured out how to use it.

-----edit-----
Microphone works as long as kernel parameters are on for usb sound. Image may be dark with Skype, but never with xawtv. Unlike the link above, kernel parameter "autoexpo" does not work well. I have a feeling that the problem is Skype side.

-----edit-----
I just find that after I recompiled kernel, things go well. The kernel options for verbose ALSA output, I UN-checked. I have not tried spcagui.

This cam works with new gspca pakcage (http://linuxtv.org/hg/~hgoede/v4l-dvb http://linuxtv.org/hg/~jfrancois/gspca/}

So far, skype is ok. The others are not.
