This printer comes with a Linux (CUPS) driver. To install it, follow the instructions here: http://openprinting.org/show_printer...amsung-ML-1640 In particular, you need to copy the files pscms, rastertosamsungpcl, rastertosamsungspl, rastertosamsungsplc in the direcotory ~/cdroot/Linux/i386/at_root/usr/lib/cups/filter/ to /usr/lib/cups/filter/.
