I crushed a Huawei with a hammer. Not this one but from the same company. There is a lot of other Chineese companies that claims to have Linux compability but most of them want you to yo make buisiness, some can send you one,but many seem too want you you too buy hundred. They seem very desperate to make a good job.I had a Broadcom modem and it worked very well with all distros. If you have had one you will never forget the feeling. No prompt. No fuzz. The internet suppliers make a deal with the manifacturers then they put their name on it,but they have a real name.People are to greedy to buy a good modem and accept the crap they get from the suppliers so you have too take big risks too buy these other modems because you have too show people it works.Linux users tend to like problems.
