The Creative Zen V Plus is completely supported under Linux by the libmtp project.

Actual media management can be done with a dedicated application like Gnomad2, or through media players such as Audacious and Amarok.

The only complaint I have with this product is in regard to build quality. I have gone through 2 of these players due to defective front buttons; after minimal use they tend to become unresponsive.

before with previous versions of libmtp charging used to take longer than on windows machines, but with version 0.2.6 this seems to be gone. and now it is working extremely well, and also the mtp support in rythmbox (version 0.11.5) is surprisingly stable for being released so soon.
