Description:

I had to manually tweak the sound under modprobe.d, and the screen back light won't turn off, but other than that it worked perfectly. The synaptics touch pad is awesome, tons of configurability. The i945GM graphics chip isn't great, but it'll run beryl well and compiz at about an 80% sweetness factor. Wireless and CD/DVD +/- RW works 100%, no coasters so far (rw media ftw!). The specialty multimedia buttons don't work, but then I never expected them to. Battery life is lowish due to the screen not dimming or light not turning off - about 1h30m. Headphone volume gets really high with the options I have in modprobe.d (very loud, i never go above about 10% vol b/c its so loud). Long live OSS!

I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 - some issues, not a bad one all in all though.
