Unit came with a half-charge on the internal battery that allowed me to check out the radio. The radio is easily tuned and the presets are easy to set. Plugged it into a front USB port on my desktop and OpenSuse found and mounted it automatically -- comes up as a 1 Gb USB Stick. Display showed connected and started charging the battery immediately. Sounds good on good earphones, but the ones that come with it are not that great. Not a bad deal at all.

Very decent little MP3 player. Always worked well for me in Ubuntu.
