I received th Asus EN8500GT Silent Magic card with 512MB DDR2 memory as a gift last evening, and installed it in my Dell Inspiron 531 which previously was using the Nvidia on board graphics.

Using "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg"
gave poor results, perhaps I made the wrong choices, but I found and downloaded a python script for Ubuntu called "Envy"

http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html

"Envy" auto-magically installed and setup this card for me using the NViDia driver version 169.07 according to the system info screen in kubuntu. The script worked like a new install and did a lot of processing, and when it was done everything seemed to be to be working OK, but a little faster than previously.

I did not setup a second video or try using the s-video output or anything like that. That is the only reason I could not give it a "10" It's possible someone else may find problems that I have yet to encounter.
