Description: model 9450A38. Other Z61m are very different!

PC card & Express card slots.
802.11 antenna in display frame. Atheros 802.11G.
Centrino t1700 dual core, ran hot with Vista, cool & quiet in Linux.
Intel 945 chip set & video. No ATI or BCM troubles.
Magnesium frame. Fast easy change of SATA HDD or DVD writer. 1 GB DDR2 PC5300 RAM.
1200 X 800 LCD

Backport of Alsa makes sound work in Ubuntu 7.10. Enable backports in repositories, then "sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-generic". That gets you ALSA 1.0.15rc3.
Only known failure is LCD brightness keys.
