MP3 player with FM radio tuner, voice recorder, with slot for microSD expansion card. Uses direct connection to USB port. Initial connection to a USB-1.0 port would not charge the battery, or allow the unit to be seen and auto mounted. However connecting it to a unit with a USB-2.0 port caused it to charge up. Reconnecting it to either a USB-1 or 2 port would then cause it to be auto-detected and mounted on Slackware_12. It is seen as a USB memory stick. This unit works perfectly and cost about $50.

This player requires that the system have a USB-2.0 port to put the initial charge in it. If it is first attached to a USB-1 port, it will not charge, or be recognized. After charging it works equally well on either type of USB port.
The prime reason I purchased this is because it plugs directly into a USB port, no cable required.
