I have been very happy so far. Its a nice little machine packed with features and quite powerful for the price. I have almost everything working well at this point.
Sound all works including int/ext mics as well as headphone jack disabling speakers.
Webcam works with linux-uvc.
Special keys work for volume and mmedia control.
Synaptics touch pad works great.
Wireless works pretty well with ndiswrapper(soon to work well with linux driver i hope).
Bluetooth works.
ieee1394 works.
USB working well.
Nvidia video works as always.
CPUfreq working well, as well as temp sensors(without using lm_sensors).
Not spent too much time with sleep states yet, but suspend to RAM seems to work but sometimes USB ceases to see devices after wakeup.
The builtin multicard reader is a bit of a problem:
It works once and then wont mount a second time after pulling the card.
a fix is in the works and i expect this to just up and start working when the driver gets
a bit more mature.
All in all im very happy. its a solid machine, looks nice, good size, decent battery life, and
all the bells and whistles. HP has made a nice laptop and Linux hardware support has come a long long way since i made the switch some 6-7 years ago.
