Description: This is a very rugged, work horse printer. It is easy to repair; has cheap toner available (6,000 pages for $30.00); 8 ppm output; very heavy (75 lbs.); excellent looking print; will last practically forever; large desktop footprint; power hungry (7A when printing). Not for people who aren't mechanically inclined, since most of the LaserJet III's found are not working well, and refurbished ones are in the $300.00 range. But, if you print a lot, and don't mind 8 ppm speed, this model will not wear out.

I bought this for printing out 1200 page manuscripts that would quickly burn out a cheap printer. This printer cost $2,400.00 new.

This printer (model 33449A) was introduced in Mar-90 and discontinued in Oct-92.
