The Photosmart C5280 gives superb photo quality prints and excellent colour scans. The printer is quiet and reasonably quick and scanning is also quite fast.
There are the usual memory card slots at the front though these don't seem to be supported in Linux. There is no pictbridge port.
Having said that, the C5280 has some nice features such as separate trays for plain and photo paper and even a tray for printing directly onto printable CDs/DVDs.
HP printer support for Linux is second to none and there is a HPLIP driver for the C5200 series. I find the printer works perfectly in Debian with this driver and but for the lack of memory card support it would get 10/10. As it stands I rate it 9/10.
I just bought a HP Photosmart C5250 All-in-One and it works great on my box. I was able to get the memory card slots at the front to work. My only question is how do I print to the CD tray? Is there another application I could use to formate the CD label and then print it? Here is a link to the driver/software I installed for my printer.

Hi, I was just wondering if you ever got the cd printing to work. I just bought this printer and one of the main reasons was the ability to print to cds. Thanks!

I have not found a way to print on the CD as of yet in Ubuntu. I'm really trying to stay a way from Windoze, so if anyone know of an application please do tell.
