This 32-bit PCI card presents itself as a USB device. The guts are the same as the USB models, plus a USB/PCI bridge.
CPU overhead while recording MPEG2-TS to disk is minimal, about 1%. MythTV can be configured to record multiple channels from each tuner if they are on the same MUX (frequency).
Driver issues such as USB disconnects and IR support have now been fixed and the card works "as advertised". If you have trouble with older 2.6 kernels then check the
v4l-dvb web site for drive updates. Errors are usually with the dib0070 kernel module. Suspend/resume also appears to work.
IR reception is marginal with some keys being misinterpreted by the kernel drivers and/or LIRC. I would not want to depend on the Hauppauge remote exclusively. There is no way to turn the PC on from the remote - the card lacks the required hardware.
The card does run hot, even in a well cooled case, but appears reliable. Mine has run for one year now, 24/7.
If you want a dual tuner DVB-T card for Linux this is just about your only option.
