This is a handy 3 in 1 gizmo that can act as a full featured wireless router, AP, or client (act as a wireless card for any computer with an ethernet port).

Configuration of client mode is done via the hard wired ethernet port. The router mode and AP mode are configured via wifi, IIRC.

You can save your config's to a hard drive so it's easy to change modes to previous setups.

The documentation is a bit spotty. I wasted four hours troubleshooting a WPA connection in client mode. Turns out the issue is that this device doesn't handle non-alphanumeric characters (@, #, !, etc) in WPA-PSK passphrases. Removing the characters from my wireless router key fixed the problem.

It's a handy little device that I now have pre-configured for my home network as a client for wired machines to use. I also pre-configured it for router mode to convert wired hotel connections to wi-fi so I can wander the room with my laptop. Both work great!

I would definitely recommend this for your toolkit if you get tired of stringing wires across your room or if you do a lot of business travel.
