Distribution: Gentoo

I'm running an 64bit Gentoo-Linux, most of my packages are up-to-date, but still a lot of features won't work.

To all that use slightly old binary distros: You must at least have Kernel 2.19 I guess. Otherwise you won't get the JMicron controller to work.

So far:
Not working:
- suspend to ram (ACPI S3): Tried several configurations, but it just wakes up immediatly after shutting down.
- ACPI-cpufreq: REALLY hard trying to get this running, but till now: no chance. If anyone has a working machine: please tell me.

Working:
- Sound: no problem, just needs snd_hda_intel
- LAN: module r8169

Seems as if the acpi tables are broken. Microsoft compiler. I decompiled them and tried to recompile them with the Intel ACPI compiler. I did some fixes, but it did not held.

Hi.

ACPI_cpufreq works fine for me.

Code:
$ lsmod | grep acpi
acpi_cpufreq            7624  0
freq_table              4512  2 cpufreq_ondemand,acpi_cpufreq
processor              25928  2 acpi_cpufreq,thermal
Did not try S3 yet.
