Inexpensive purchase price general purpose/photo inkjet printer with FINE print head technology and USB interface. The cartridges for this printer are expensive as the print head is on each cartridge; the print quality will always be good as the print head is changed every time the cartridge is changed. Generic cartridges are not available for this product.
The IP1600 can use IP2200 driver. canon-list@linuxprinting.org states the IP1600 only works at 600 dpi with the IP2200 driver, but it works. The IP2200 linux driver can be found at:
