4 processors immediately recognized with Ubuntu 6.10. I have overclocked the CPU to 2500+ GHz and it is still running under 30 degrees celcius with the stock cooling fan.

Pros: 4 cores, very cool, fast, multi-tasking is no problem

Cons: Expensive

My specs: ASUS P5B motherbord, 3GB of Corsair DDR2 ValueSelect RAM (4GB not recognized with 4x1GB), ASUS Nvidia 6200LE PCI express, Netgear 10/100 Mbps NIC, 480W PSU, 250GB Seagate SATA drive, Sony CD-RW drive.

Micro420, I'm not sure if you realise...you will only be able to access your 4GB RAM with a 64bit version of Ubuntu (for example AMD64bit version of 7.04, yes it works with Intel). The 32bit limit is approx 3.2GB.
