This motherboard was a featured product for a Linux install back in Linux Magazine a few years back which was one reason why I opted to buy and use this for one of my first built PC's to install Linux onto.
Its fully supported and shouldn't have any problems being used with Linux.
I have installed many different distributions using this board and never seemed to run into any issues.

Intel's 440BX chipset used on the main board is an excellent choice for the majority of different types of installs; from desktop use to light server use.

Though it isn't manufactured any longer, if you are looking for a cheap alternative to support Celeron processors and running Linux, you can achieve this with this motherboard.
