Basically you can transfer files using libmtp utils.

Since it works with libmtp, you can use amarok which is just perfect for music transfers. You can use gnomad2 to transfer other types of files including videos.

Make sure you compile amarok and gnomad2 with libmtp support (but as libmtp ages I'm sure binary versions of these programs will come with libmtp support).

When in UMS mode you can mount it like any other UMS device.

Transfer speeds are amazingly fast.

Everything works fine.

I gave it a rating of 9 because the buttons on the player are a bit annoying to use.

Vision:M works fine with Linux. You can also dedicate part of the 30G drive for use as a mass storage device (up to 16GB). As vxc69 said, if you want to use Gnomad2 or Amarok, you need to compile them with libmtp. I found that using libmtp v0.1.2 gave me problems when compiling Gnomad2 or Amarok. I use libmtp v0.1.0 and both Gnomad2 and Amarok compiles fine. I belive libmtp changed their API. I'm using XVid for video codec and MP3 for audio codec and I can watch/hear my stuff just fine!

Does this work if you simply install libmtp to a system, or must you really complie the source Amarok?
