Rating 5: Usable--with tweaks

* Built-in network adapter goes to sleep and Kernel 2.6.23 series has trouble waking it up. The result is LAN becomes unresponsive after a while. Dmesg reports (search google for netdev watchdog timeout) and after that it cannot be reset by ifdown/ifup until full reboot is done.

* Nvidia 6800 graphics card generates Xid:0 errors with this board when the video card mysteriously loses its IRQ, resulting in a black featureless screen. Can still switch to a terminal and type (blindly) or telnet in remotely and shut down, however.

Putting noapic in /etc/grub.conf fixes both problems:
kernel /vmlinuz-$$$$$KERNEL VERSION$$$$$ ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet psmouse_noext=1 noapic

* The psmouse_noext=1 is to fix another issue where the mouse becomes verrrrry slooooow after coming back from sleep mode.

* WARNING: Be careful when recording with Audacity using this board. The microphone quit working back in 2006 when I had the mixer set wrong and a feedback loop burned out the preamp in the VIA8237 sound chip. I can still record from line-in, however. I have since plugged in another sound card so I can use the microphone.

* Also, the thing sometimes shuts down when I bump it. I think it's a loose power cable but I can't seem to narrow it down.
