I am in the process of installing Linux (aren't we all). I tried for days to get the camera to work on the dock, but nothing came of it. One day, I plugged in the small USB cable that plugs into the camera, and WALA!!! My computer saw it, gave you the option to download the pictures, and opened F-Spot automatically. I am almost done with this install. All I have left is my printer working consistently. Hope this helps.

Just got back on LQ to see if my camera works with Ubuntu. No need, really. Plug the SD card from the camera into the front of my computer and it's recognized immediately with no issues. Only need a data cable for my phone now and all will be good.
