Description: Very fast, reliable, solid mobo. Well-built with nice finish and attention to details. Good documentation.

It works flawlessly with one large stick of RAM, rather than two smaller sticks that sometimes make it hang or not boot- that's an issue with the chipset, I think. It has enough room around the northbridge chip to put on a Vantec Iceberq copper heatsink/fan. (My previous mobo died because of the cheap factory chipset fan, so now I always replace the stock fan or heatsink with a good quality one.)

Mandrake 9.1 would not see the onboard sound so I got a cheap PCI soundcard with a C-Media CM8738-LX chipset and the sound is great. I've always had trouble getting sound to work in Mandrake, but Slackware sound setup was a breeze.

I like playing Tuxracer so I installed the NVIDIA drivers instead of using the basic GeForce drivers in X-Free86: www.nvidia.com

Using an AMD Athlon 2000 "b-core" and a little "setpci" code specific to this mobo that I learned in LQ, my processor runs on average at 89 F degrees!
setpci -v -H1 -s 0:0.0 70=86
setpci -v -H1 -s 0:0.0 95=1e

This board never, EVER crashes.
I'm considering getting another one just for a spare. I highly recommend this board!

reliable and cheap jumperless board. on board via chipset audio is pretty crappy - recommend swop out.

installed easily into my Aopen housing - SD and DDR ram compatibility is unusual.
