I purchased the Intel Pentium D 960 3.6Ghz from Newegg. Works fine in Ubuntu Linux 6.06 and is very fast.

Temperature wise, it is running around 50 degrees celcius. I used a little Artic Silver thermal paste and I am using the stock fan that came with the CPU from Intel.

I am using the ASUS P5LD2-VM Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard with this CPU.

I am using the CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Unbuffered System Memory Model VS1G667D2 and it is working fine.

I would recommend this CPU.
