Love this camera. I record my video's plug it into my DVD burner hit play on camera and record on DVD burner and bada-bing I got a DVD. Great for home movies. Works with Linux or Windows despite the Mfg not supporting Linux Booo bad Manufacturer.

Basically you plug it into a USB port on the computer using the supplied USB cable. You should have usbfs mounted on /proc/bus/usb and also you should have ehci_hcd or uhci_hcd loaded and usb_storage module loaded and then you will be able to access the camera.

I know the camera has a 4096Mb (4Gb) hard drive so I can locate it using this command:
dmesg|grep sd[a-z]
SCSI device sda: 7999488 512-byte hdwr sectors (4096 MB)
sda: Write Protect is off
sda: Mode Sense: 0b 00 00 08

As you can see it is sda1 so I would mount it like this:
# mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /cam1

My only complaint is the Mfg should spend 20min and write instructions for accessing this camera with a Linux system. They probably spent a man year writing Windows XP drivers!
