Description: SATA PCI controller, 1 int/1 ext connector, red PCB, low profile.

Works fine in recent 2.6.x kernels (> 2.6.12?) using the SiI 3112 chipset (CONFIG_SCSI_SATA_SIL).

This cheap PCI card works great with recent 2.6 (> 2.6.12 or so) kernels using the 'SiI 3112' sata driver. It has one internal and one external SATA connector.

The product has no Linux support from the manufacturer and no real documentation to speak of.

Except for wishing the external SATA connector would be internal too, I have no bad remarks about this card.

I use it to add SATA support on an older (pre-SATA) computer.
