I have purhased this notebook this month. And now running Ubuntu 5.10 on this successfully without any problem. Other distro like Mandrake, Fedora, RHL have some issues with this notebook model and I was not able to run them on this.

I have rated vendor (comapq) 7 for overall. This is because, When I ordered the notebook, configuration was differ then what I got. They said, I will get a Card Reader, 3 USB port, Bluetooth and 1394 port. But I got only 2 USB port and rest was not present in laptop when I actually got that. When I contacted company and vendor, they said company has right to change configuration with out any notice and since, I am not eligble to return or claim.

Thats only disappointment with this laptop to me. Except this, performance is good. Currently I am getting approx 2 hrs backup of battery.
