Kernel (uname -r): Various. including 2.6.16.9
Distribution: Debian Sarge

This was bought to drive a large monolythic DAS RAID box.
About 10TB of storage.

Some problems came out reeeeally quickly.
First off this sucker can't do more than 2TB in one device.
--> No LBA64 support. (only LSI has it AFAIK)
Thus the device had to be split in the DAS' firmware then put together with LVM on the OS level. Which is nasty.

The machine kept crashing with the storage attached on practically any I/O going to the array slices.

Here is the bug report. It's a shame that such a commonly available device's driver can be in this bad shape.

I had to send these back. I am now waiting for a batch of LSI 22320 cards to replace them.
