Description: The VoIPvoice Uconnect 901 is a Skype certified USB to PSTN converter that allows you to connect a regular corded or cordless phone to your computer. This allows you to talk on Skype using a regular phone. Here are some links to some product pages.

The sound quality is excellent both sending and receiving. There is an echo on the phone connected to the adapter although I think the echo is being caused by my phone and not the adapter. Even so, the echo is instantaneous and hardly noticable.

I got this working using Suse Linux 10.0. I had kernel release 2.6.13-15, ALSA v1.0.10, Skype 1.2.0.18, and the skype_dsp_hijacker v0.6 installed. The device had to be set to the USB only setting in order for it to work tolerably. I couldn't get the phone to ring, display caller ID, or dial out to any numbers. However, this may be a software issue since the Uconnect on Windows requires the VoIPvoice software to be installed and integrated with Skype.

Here are some links that helped me in setting up the Uconnect 901.
