This device works perfectly with any machine with an Ethernet port- computer, PDA, game console, you name it. Plug the cable into the bridge (you can hook up four things to the device at once.) There is a Web-based utility to configure the bridge with- you have NO drivers on your machine for the wireless. I recommend this over any PCI NIC for a desktop even though it is a bit more expensive than a PCI NIC as it as simple and foolproof to use as plugging into a wired switch or router.
