I use this device on both Linux and Windows. I have to use Windows in order to get drm for downloadable audio library books requiring Windows media player.

For anything else, I plug it in and the filemanager opens ready for moving files in and out. The only way I have found to put files in order is by numbering them, but other than that, I love it.

This is a pretty sturdy little player except for the cover for where the battery goes. That has a little plastic piece that I broke on a previous nano (not plus) when I dropped it in the street.

No ogg on this device.
